Resources for VTECS Connect or DIRECT Software

________________________________________________________

Minnesota, through the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, is a member of VTECS www.vtecs.org. VTECS has a thirty-year history of operating as a consortium of states where members pool resources to develop competency-based career and technical education products that are validated by industry and labor. In order to develop these products, VTECS employs a complete occupational analysis system whereby data is collected from incumbent workers for the specified occupational areas.

VTECS has worked extensively with the 16 Career Clusters and Pathways. These materials are available for curriculum developers through VTECS DIRECT Software. Curriculum developers can manipulate the data to reconfigurate it into a format that is usable by them.

VTECS Connect software is a relational database designed to manage students, contracts, and employer information used by work-based learning coordinators, and cooperative education, internship and clinical instructors.

For more information, click on “How to Get VTECS Software.”

For Automotive instructors using VTECS Connect 2.0 or above, click on the link below to import the NATEF task lists with coding.
