Minnesota Career and Technical Education is a branch of Academic & Student Affairs at the Ofifce of the Chancellor. We partner closely with the Center for Postsecondary Success at Minnesota Department of Education. Together, our work is driven by the Carl D. Perkins Vocational & Technical Education Act of 2006 to improve career and technical education and create opportunities to enter high skill, high wage, and high demand employment in Minnesota for all learners. Three regional training workshops on the Career & Technical Education Advisory Committee Handbook have been scheduled for April 27, 28, and 29 on three separate campuses. These workshops are directed towards the training of secondary and postsecondary career and technical education educators and administrators from all 26 Perkins Consortia of colleges and school districts. Registration is open.

Classes begin mid-February through Normandale community College. A Global Career Development Facilitator helps individuals learn about themselves and jobs, make career/academic choices and plans, and then carry out those plans.
